emPOWER Map AI Integration with Alexa and Google Personal Assistant announced at 2020 ONC Annual Meeting
In conjunction with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), CTAC is excited to announce the full public release of a new capability for ASPR’s emPOWER Map application at ONC’s Annual Meeting taking place January 27-28, 2020 in Washington, D.C.
The emPOWER Map is now enabled to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration with Alexa and Google Personal Assistant. This new feature, within the emPOWER Map application, is among the first applications in the government to support Personal Device assistant interfaces and allows the user to interact with the application the same way they would through a web browser. The first version of the emPOWER Map launched in 2015. It is very exciting to see how the program has grown and the impact the application has had over the years. The subsequent technological advancements the emPOWER Map allow us and our client to provide continuous improvements for first-responders, at-risk populations and other users – CTAC is using Big Data to save lives!
