Since 2017, CTAC has been providing cloud solutions for the public sector, with a focus on public health and consumer safety. When AWS launched their new Healthcare Competency, it was the logical next step for CTAC as a long-time AWS Advanced Partner. After completing the rigorous application process, CTAC was awarded with the Competency in July 2025. The AWS Healthcare Competency is a validation program for AWS Partners who demonstrate technical expertise and proven customer success in healthcare solutions. These partners help healthcare providers and payers to:

• Store, process, and secure patient information
• Reduce time and effort for existing workloads
• Access powerful analytics capabilities
• Meet high security and privacy requirements
• Deliver improved patient care

Healthcare Competency Partners undergo rigorous technical assessment to ensure they can handle patient data securely while delivering innovative healthcare solutions. This competency helps customers quickly identify qualified partners who can address their specific healthcare needs while maintaining compliance and security standards.

To become an AWS Healthcare Competency Partner, organizations must meet specific requirements across three categories:

1. Prerequisites:

• Must be an existing AWS Partner
• Provide required customer case studies
• Maintain minimum AWS technical certifications

2. Healthcare-Specific Technical Requirements:

• Demonstrate expertise in healthcare solutions
• Show proven success in healthcare customer implementations
• Meet specific technical requirements for healthcare subcategories

3. AWS Technical Requirements:

• Follow AWS Well-Architected Framework’s 5 pillars
• Implement AWS best practices
• Pass AWS technical validation process

Partners have 60 days to complete validation after a new checklist version is published. All applications must meet the most recent validation requirements after this period.
