Database Administrator
The Database Administrator will provide MySQL administration including migration support, hot and cold backups, replication and clustering, rollbacks and restoration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Experience must include:
At least 2 years of (non-educational) experience with MySQL database administration in a High Availability (HA) environment using clustering or replication. Automated monitoring and fail-over; MySQL patching.
Experience should include:
- Linux Administration
- Database Schema Design
- SQL Query Design
- Migrations to and from MySQL from other databases
- Load balancers
Bonus Experience:
- Solaris/Unix Administration
- Virtual Hosting
- Hibernate
- Oracle experience
- Network Design
- .NET, Java, or Ruby development
