System Administrator
The Systems Administrator will support the design and maintenance of a large virtual server environment consisting primarily of Linux servers.
Tasks will include linux administration and patching, network and firewall design and security, and system wide monitoring and logging.
Experience must include:
At least 2 years of (non-educational) experience with Linux system administration.
Configuration management, patching, monitoring, logging, and network security
Experience should include:
- Network Administration
- Virtual Hosting (virtual machine imaging and VLAN design)
- Ubuntu and Redhat
- Apache
- Physical and/or software load balancers
Bonus Experience:
- Windows 2003 / 2008 and IIS administration
- Solaris Administration
- MySQL
- .NET, Java, or Ruby development
Work will be performed mainly at company headquarters in Fairfax, VA (with some work and meetings at client sites in Washington, DC). Successful candidates must be able to pass minimum public trust security clearance requirement. A Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience is preferred.
